Family owned and operated, Andiamo Restaurants are part of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group. The Vicari family not only owns the group, but they operate and monitor all of their properties personally to ensure the highest quality of food and service. In 1989 when Andiamo opened its first Italian restaurant, the goal was simple – deliver fine Italian cuisine by using the freshest seasonal ingredients and prepare them from scratch each and every day. This goal set by the late Master Chef Aldo Ottaviani was achieved and as a result Andiamo exceeded all expectations, expanding to eight metro Detroit locations. Andiamo has never strayed from its founding principles and continues to provide exceptional service and authentic Italian cuisine prepared by hand every day.

DIG is licensed in the State of Michigan as a non-profit, proprietary post-secondary education provider and recognized as a Registered Apprentice Program with the US-Department of Labor.

The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is recognized as an accrediting organization through the Council of Higher Education Administration (CHEA)/United States Department of Education. DIG has earned institutional accreditation along with both the Culinarian and the Sous Chef Apprenticeship Programs, earning programmatic accreditation.
